A particular favourite was The Swan, mainly because of its dart board and old man feel. I still pop in every time I'm back but now it's more of a Gastro type deal with a magnificent beer garden overlooking the river. But no dart board alas.
A few years ago the run down Walton Playhouse underwent a bit of a refurbishment and started hosting big acts once a month which sold out almost every show but alas there was very little in the way of relaxed quality pub comedy.
And then The Swan stepped up to the plate.
The first of their bi-monthly gigs sold out almost immediately and they've just announced the lineup for the next one on Sat 6th October.
